Joshua has always been one of my very favorite books in the Bible. It is about the Lord providing victory through the battles for the children of Israel, despite their lack of faith and sometimes even their disobedience.
In November of 2009, I began a new battle of my own. It is the battle of breast cancer. The purpose for this blog is for me to post what is happening and how the Lord is working in my life. People can come here to get all the latest information on my health and general well being. I hope that someone will visit, see the grace of the Lord, and want the wonderful gift that I have. Maybe that someone is you. I would love for you to get to know my Saviour, Jesus Christ.
A little bit about me: I have been married to my best friend for over 43 years! We met many years ago while serving with the US Navy in Sicily. We have two wonderful children. Our handsome son Eddie has been in Heaven since September 10, 2003 and our lovely daughter Christa is a third grade teacher. In 1998, we went to Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal. After 6 years in Portugal, the Lord called my husband and I serve as missionaries to US servicemen and women and their families in Okinawa, Japan. Our daughter taught kindergarten in our Christian school for one year. On September 3, 2010, we flew to Ohio for a 1 year medical furlough. I finished my chemo on May 26, 2011, and am still cancer free in 2024!
In 2012, my husband and I began working as missionaries in restricted nations training national pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and their wives. God worked miraculously through this ministry and opened our eyes to the great need for His accurate and complete Word around the world. We retired after 28 years as missionaries when Cornerstone Baptist Church in Zephyrhills, Florida, called my husband to be their pastor at the end of July 2024.
Check back periodically to find out what is happening in our lives and how the Lord is working through us!
